1. Who we are

Aero Grades provides a quiz and exam platform for flight schools. When a school uses the platform, the school decides what student data is entered and why; we process that data on the school's behalf to run the service.

2. What we collect

Account data: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), the school you belong to and your role.

School data: school name, call sign, logo, question bank content, images, exam settings and audit records of administrative actions.

Usage data: quiz attempts, answers, scores, flagged and reported questions, and access periods.

Billing data: plan, subscription status and invoice history. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach our servers.

Technical data: basic log information needed to operate and secure the service.

3. Why we use it

To create and secure accounts, to show students the right school's question bank, to grade attempts and report progress to instructors, to process subscriptions, to provide support, and to detect abuse.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use student data for advertising.

4. Keeping schools separate

Every record is tied to a school. Database-level access rules mean a signed-in user can only read data belonging to their own school, and uploaded question images are only served to authenticated members of that school. Answer keys are never readable directly — correctness is revealed only through server-side grading.

5. Processors we rely on

We use third-party providers for hosting, database and file storage, transactional email, and payment processing. They act on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

6. Retention

Account and school data is retained while the account is active. When a school closes its account, its data is deleted within a reasonable period, except where records must be retained for legal or accounting reasons (for example invoices).

You can delete your own account from the My Account page; doing so removes your profile and results.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Students should contact their flight school first, since the school controls its own records. You can also reach us through the support form in the admin area.

8. Security

Access is protected by authentication, row-level database policies and role checks on the server. Passwords are hashed and traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please report any suspected issue through the support form.

9. Children

The platform is intended for flight training students and instructors. Accounts for minors should be created and supervised by the school in line with local law.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the admin area before they take effect.
